Mooresville, NC (May 7, 2004) - Tommy Baldwin Racing announced today that 2003 NASCAR Grand National Division, West Series Champion and Rookie of the Year, Scott Lynch, has been named as the fourth driver in the 2004 Hungry Driver(tm) program sponsored by Ragu(r) pasta sauce, Hellmann's(r) mayonnaise and Shedd's Spread Country Crock(r) spread.

Lynch, a University of Utah graduate, joins Paul Wolfe, Tracy Hines and Mark McFarland as the fourth driver in line to take over the seat of the No. 6 Hungry Drivers(tm) Dodge. The Hungry Drivers(tm) program allows four hungry up-and-coming drivers the opportunity to compete in three races throughout the 2004 season. The driver who delivers the best performance will be in a prime position to secure a full NASCAR Busch Series ride in 2005.

Lynch will climb into the seat of the No. 6 Hungry Drivers(r) Dodge for his NASCAR Busch Series debut at Richmond International Raceway on May 14, 2004, followed by events later in the season at Lowe's Motor Speedway and Atlanta Motor Speedway, both in October.

Lynch's racing career began just three days after his 16th birthday when he started racing in the Modified Division at the Magic Valley Speedway in Twin Falls, ID. From the start it was obvious that Lynch had natural talent. Competing locally over the next few years, Lynch began to make a name for himself, earning numerous honors and accolades along the way.

After racing in the NASCAR Featherlite Southwest Series, where he brought home the Rookie of the Year honors in 1999, Lynch began running a limited schedule in the NASCAR Grand National Division, West Series in 2000. In 11 starts from 2000-2002, Lynch posted one win, seven top-10's and three top-five finishes.

Last year, in his first full season of competition in the series, Lynch clearly showed his potential as an up-and-coming NASCAR star when he not only earned the Rookie of the Year honors but clinched the championship title as well, with a total of three poles, three wins, seven top-five and 10 top-10 finishes in 12 starts.

Team owner Tommy Baldwin had been searching for the fourth driver to round out his Hungry Drivers(tm) program for several months when Dodge recommended the 23-year-old Lynch.

"Dodge had such high praise for Scott that I knew I needed to find out more about him," said Baldwin. "Obviously I was impressed with his accomplishments in the NASCAR Grand National, West Series but it wasn't until I met him that I knew he was a perfect fit for the Hungry Drivers(tm) program and the best person to represent our sponsors Ragu(r), Hellmann's(r) and Country Crock(r). Scott has what it takes to make it to NASCAR's top series - not only does he have the raw talent but he has the right attitude and the drive. You can tell that Scott doesn't mind working hard and doing whatever it takes to succeed. Any car owner would tell you he is the kind of person you want representing you and your sponsors."

Lynch is very excited about the opportunity to be a part of the Tommy Baldwin's NASCAR Busch Series effort and to become a part of the Hungry Drivers(tm) program.

"To have been chosen as the fourth driver to join the Hungry Drivers(tm) program is a great honor and an incredible opportunity for me," says Lynch. "Being able to work with Tommy Baldwin and his team is a dream come true, and I hope to represent sponsors Ragu(r), Hellmann's(r) and Country Crock(r) well.

Lynch is eagerly anticipating his NASCAR Busch Series debut next week at Richmond International Raceway and has already set his goals for his performance on the highly banked .75-mile oval.

"While I always want to win, my realistic goal is to qualify in the top-20 and finish in the top-20. If I can do that in my first Busch Series event it would be great. If I can better that goal, it would be awesome!"
