Tim Fedewa will make his return to the No. 36 Stanley car this weekend at Memphis Motorsports Park after sitting out of last week's race due to injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. Fedewa visited an orthopedist on Tuesday morning, and he was given the green light to race. The doctor had released Fedewa to race last weekend, but he and the team decided against it. "I know that sitting out of the race last weekend was probably the best thing for my health in the long run, but it killed me not to get in that race car," Fedewa said. "Racing is my passion, and to watch somebody else climb in the car and drive was really difficult for me. "I'm eager to get behind the wheel this weekend," he said. "Memphis is a great race track for this team, and I feel like it is a place where we can win." Fedewa also added how grateful he was for all the support over the past week. "I do want to say that I appreciate all the concerns and well-wishes from the people in the garage and the fans," he said. "It has been overwhelming, and Terri and I want to thank everyone."

Crew chief Billy Nacewicz is hoping that the No. 36 team can have a run of strong finishes at the end of the season - starting in Memphis where the team finished ninth last year. Nacewicz says he would like to send sponsor Stanley out on top at the end of the season, and he wouldn't mind having good memories of the 2000 season as he prepares for 2001. "I'd really like to see this team finish the year strong," Nacewicz said. "I'd like to have three good finishes so we can finish the year on a high note. It would be great for Stanley to go out in a blaze of glory, and I would really like to get into next year on a high note."

It's The Car...The Stanley car seen on track this weekend has been a favorite of the team this season. It's the No. 36 that Fedewa took to victory lane from the pole position at New Hampshire International Speedway in May. He also had a top-10 finish with the car at Pikes Peak International Raceway. The car was in an accident earlier this fall in Richmond. It has been rebuilt and is ready to go again. "We're hoping that some of the good luck this car had before is still there," Nacewicz said.
