Todd Bodine Lowe's Motor Speedway In Concord, N.C. NASCAR Busch Series Notes

On Charlotte: Todd Bodine has 12 career starts at Lowe's Motor Speedway in the NASCAR Busch Series, Grand National Division. During those 12 starts, Bodine has scored one top-five and five top-10 finishes. The Phillips 66 Team looks to exercise their pit strategy ability during this weekend's Carquest Auto Parts 300.

"One of the best things about racing at Charlotte is that it's home for everybody," Bodine said. "A lot of us aren't from here originally but it's our home now and we get to sleep in our own beds every night. But Charlotte is a tough place to anticipate because it changes so much with temperature change, weather and cloud cover. I like racing there because it's a fun race. You don't have to necessarily be the quickest car on the track. If you have a car set up to do better on the long runs you can be successful."

Equipment: "Hillbilly" is the car Bodine will compete with this weekend in Charlotte. "Hillbilly" is the same car Bodine posted a ninth-place finish with earlier this year at Darlington and, more recently, finished fifth with at Bristol.

One Year Ago: Bodine and his wife Lynn celebrated the first birthday of their daughter Ashlyn Marie on May 21, 1999. Ashlyn's arrival last year occurred during the middle of Charlotte race week. Along with several friends and family, the Bodine's have planned a birthday celebration for Ashlyn this coming Thursday, May 27.

Open House: Cicci-Welliver Racing will open the doors of their new race shop to the public this Wednesday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The three-car team moved into the new 20,000 square foot facility during the last week in February.

Bodine Fast Fact: Bodine is quickly earning his way to the $2 million mark in career NASCAR Busch Series earnings. Bodine has won $1,971,461. It is estimated that Bodine will break the $2 million in career earnings during the next few NASCAR Busch Series events.

Bodine Favorite: Bodine's favorite race track to compete on is Lowe's Motor Speedway in Charlotte, N.C.
