WISE TO COMPETE IN NATIONWIDE RACE AT LOWE'S
CORNELIUS, N.C. (May 21, 2008) -- Josh Wise makes his second NASCAR Nationwide Series career start this weekend in the No. 22 Supercuts entry fielded by Fitz Motorsports at Lowe's Motor Speedway Saturday night.
"I'm grateful for the opportunity that Supercuts and Fitz Motorsports are giving me," Wise said. "I feel like it's been a long time coming. I haven't been able to be in a competitive situation in a long time. I have been testing Cup cars for MWR (Michael Waltrip Racing) and have enjoyed the testing that I have done and the experience I have gained from it. I'm looking forward to being able to compete in the Nationwide race this weekend."
Wise debuted last season with Fitz Motorsports at O'Reilly Raceway Park and is ready to climb back into the seat.
"I really don't have any experience at Lowe's," Wise said. "I was able to turn a few laps there in a Craftsman Truck at an open test last year. Lowe's is a fast and challenging track, but I'm up for the challenge."
Live coverage of the 300-mile NASCAR Nationwide Series event at Lowe's Motor Speedway will air on ESPN2 at 7 p.m. ET and PRN Radio at 7:30 p.m.
