Bobby Hamilton Jr., driver of the No. 25 Smithfield Foods Ford Fusion, addressed the media during the NASCAR Nationwide Series rain delay at Dover International Speedway.

CURRENTLY 15TH IN POINTS, WHAT ARE YOU THOUGHTS ON RACING HERE AT DOVER? "It's one of those race tracks that you can fan out and you can do what you need to as far as passing wise. If you've got a really fast race car, you can get away from the field. Overall, generally a good race track. There's a lot of good racing which you can tell by they sell out fans here. It's just another one of those race tracks that NASCAR's got going for them. It keeps the sport alive because it's the three-wide racing and the two-wide. You can pass a guy outside, inside. Multiple grooves and when they hit hard here, it's a lot to watch. It's pretty spectacular for the fans."

TALK ABOUT THE VISIBILITY IN TURN TWO. "We have spotters, we have all that stuff. I guess that's just something that probably a handful of those guys have got as far as, but I never noticed a problem. I think sometimes while you're down in the corner you're kinda of glancing up and see that bridge and it kind of throws you off a bit. The good thing about this place, if they do wreck in front of you, they're going to the bottom. They're going to hit top and then they're going to get back to the bottom. It's pretty predictable. It's just real hard racing. It's hard to pass a guy here sometimes, but also if you can't him, you can move up and go somewhere else and get him. If you have a fast race car, you can just disappear on the field and be completely gone and take your time. It's one of the race tracks that's really, really fast. Since they've concreted it, it's more bumpier and it does beats the driver up a bit. But we do this so many times a year, you just get used to it."

DO YOU HAVE ANYTHING SPECIAL FOR NEXT WEEK BEING NASHVILLE? "No, just be there at the last minute. I've got to be there at 5 or 6 Friday night and get there about 4:30, compared to what you do now. Then make a little bit of money driving a race car and get to sleep in your bed. So, how bad is it? Just another weekend at home to actually work a little bit more. You don't have to go out of town. I'm in the middle of building a new fence for all the dogs, so I'll have to do that more often, the whole time while I'm home. Nothing special, it's just another weekend, too. You look at it as far as being at home, but at the same time, when you get to the race track, you don't have no advantages over those guys. You just know where the bathroom is compared to some of them, but that's about it."

TALK ABOUT THE PURCHASE OF KENTUCKY AND WHAT THEY NEED TO DO TO EVENTUALLY HOST A CUP RACE? "It's pretty evident that the Cup guys appreciate the race track because they go there and test every Tuesday and Wednesday when they can. I understand the whole logic behind it, but because I think it would be a great race for the Cup guys. If anybody got in the pecking order to have one, I guess it would be those guys. They spent the money, the facility is super nice. What they'll have to do, I don't know. I keep hearing Bruton is trying to buy a couple more Cup tracks to end one of their dates. I don't know what he has in mind. I think it's pretty cool. I think it was something different. I think we almost need to get back to our roots a little bit as far as being at some of these tracks where we got started at. I think getting out to the Californias, I don't mind going out there one time, maybe, but I think it's a waste the second time we go out there. You get out to some of those places; they don't even know a race is going on. I think we need to go places where they want us there. Instead of having one race at Vegas, I think there should be two races at Vegas. If I'm a fan, if I can go to California or Vegas on a vacation, where am I gonna go to watch the Cup race? I'm gonna go to Vegas. I think it's a great idea. I think it's neat what he's trying to do. I'd be 100 percent behind it, I think it's a great idea if they got one in Kentucky."

WHAT'S IT LIKE TO RACE AT OTHER TRACKS WHERE YOU HAVEN'T RACED? "It's fun actually. I went to Greenville and they just literally beat the [heck] out of me. My race car was all tore up, I was like, 'What did I do to these guys?' But it was just harder racing that what we're used to growing up as a kid in the Late Models. Our next run is Loudon and Dover, that's why I told them, it's just a different atmosphere. It's a different group of racers. Those kids are there; they're ready to prove something. They're ready to win races. They're ready to beat whoever's in front of them, no matter who you are or what you've done. I think that's why I like it so much. You hear a lot of this, you've got to respect this guy or you've got to respect that guy because what he's done or what he's doing. They don't get a [darn], they're there to win that trophy. They're making their living there. It's just real good, clean, hard racing and I think that's why I like it. Kevin's [Harvick] has gone over and tasted the water. Kasey Kahne has went and done it. It is just really good hard short track racing. It's a good deal that NASCAR's got. It's another way for me to start building my team. It's easy as far as scheduling. It's easy as far as the money side of it. At the same time, you can build a real good foundation to move to the truck series or maybe the Nationwide someday."
