GOING FOR CONCRETE HAT TRICK - Brad Keselowski will attempt to record a concrete hat trick with his No. 88 Navy Chevrolet on Saturday in the NASCAR Nationwide Series Roadloans.com 200 at Dover International Speedway. Keselowski has scored wins at Nashville Superspeedway and Bristol Motor Speedway - the last two concrete tracks the Nationwide Series teams have visited this year. He'll attempt to record his third win and thus complete the hat trick this weekend at Dover, the final concrete track the series will visit this season.
CONCRETE SUCCESS - Keselowski and the No. 88 Navy team have had considerable success on concrete tracks in 2008, scoring an average finish of 3.4 in the five races on that type of surface. He started the season off with twin fourth-place runs at Bristol Motor Speedway and Nashville Superspeedway in the spring. In May Keselowski finished seventh at Dover before going on to win at Nashville and Bristol later in the summer.
TOP 10'S AT DOVER - Keselowski has scored twin seventh-place finishes in the two races he's run at Dover International Speedway with the No. 88 JR Motorsports team.
POINT BATTLE - With just seven races left in the 2008 season, Keselowski is currently ranked third in the Nationwide Series driver point standings. He's 279 points out of the lead and continues to be the highest-ranked Nationwide Series-only driver.
SEASON STATS - Keselowski and the No. 88 Navy team have scored two wins, one pole award, nine top-fives and 15 top-10 finishes so far this year. He has an average finish of 11.4 and has completed 98.2 percent of the laps run this year.
CHASSIS NO. 403 - The No. 88 team will utilize Chassis No. 403 this weekend at Dover International Speedway. Keselowski scored his second win of the season in this car at Bristol Motor Speedway last month. He also finished seventh at Dover in No. 403 in May.
FLEET HONOREE - The No. 88 Navy team's Fleet Honoree for Saturday's race at Dover is Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron TWO, based out of Norfolk, Va. Sailors in HSC-2 serve as the East Coast Fleet Replacement Squadron for MH-60S, and are responsible for training fleet replacement pilots and aircrew, creating level one pilots and air crewmen, requalification or initial qualification in the MH-60S of returning fleet pilots prior to Department Head or Command tours, providing a regional Search and Rescue asset on demand and running Atlantic Fleet Helicopter Operations School, training over 180 Helicopter Control Officers, 350 Landing Signalman Enlisted and over 500 Night Vision Device pilots and aircrew annually.
KESELOWSKI (on going back to Dover for the second time this year) - "I'm looking forward to Dover. We had a great car there in the spring and had a shot at winning, but got in a little accident on pit road. So, I'm really excited about going back. I think we can win there."
KESELOWSKI (on racing at Dover) - "Dover in general is just an intense race track. It's a roller coaster in itself. It's a roller coaster, but you're driving it. You go into Turn 1 and bottom out and your body just compresses when you land. Then you have to get back on the throttle and your whole body then transfers onto the ride side and you're up against the headrest and you can barely see. Then you come up off the corner and you ramp up and it seems like your jumping. It's an intense lap, but that's what makes Dover so fun."
