* Although Bowles will miss the awards banquet on Saturday the Ontario, CA native will spend the first part of his week in Concord, NC participating in many of the functions planned for the champions, including the 2nd Annual NASCAR Toyota Champions/Media Karting showdown presented by SIRIUS XM Radio on Tuesday, Nov. 10 as well as the Champions Dinner at Sam Bass Gallery that evening, and the Jim Hunter Golf Tournament at Highland Creek Golf Club Wednesday, November 11.

Jason Bowles at Phoenix International Raceway: The 27-year-old driver has three starts at Phoenix International Raceway in the NASCAR Camping World Series West. His most recent start was in the March 2009 event where the Ontario, CA native started fourth and led 86 laps to take home his first win at the 1-mile tri-oval.

NASCAR Camping World Series West Career Stats: Bowles has 39 total starts in the series including nine wins, 25 top-5 and 30 top-10 finishes.

NASCAR Camping World Series West 2009 Stats: Jason had 13 starts in the NCWSW in 2009 including 10 top-5 and 12 top-10 finishes, three wins, three poles and completed 99.71% of all laps attempted (1747 out of 1752).

We're Guessing He Signs His Name Fast Too: Bowles will join other NNS drivers for an autograph session on Saturday, November 14th from 8:30-9:30 am in Gatorade Victory Lane prior to NNS qualifying. To participate fans are asked to bring in one non-perishable food item or $5. All proceeds will benefit the West Davidson Food Pantry in Davidson, NC. In addition to typical food items the Pantry is in need of: rice, saltine crackers, peanut butter, Bisquick, sugar, flour, pancake syrup, apple sauce, jelly, spaghetti noodles & sauce, coffee & tea.

Jason Bowles:

Do you think your experience at Phoenix in the NCWSW will carry over in the Nationwide Car?

"I think my experience will help some for sure. I don't know how much will carry over from car to car but I think not having to learn both a new car and a new track is going to help. I have quite a few laps around Phoenix and with my win in the Camping World Series this year I am confident it will help me in the Nationwide car."

You have had success at Phoenix, what do you believe is the key to getting around the 1-mile tri-oval?

"For me the biggest key to getting around there is letting the car roll through the center. The corners are quite unique and you have to be real patient and make sure you get a good drive off the corner."

What are your goals for your NASCAR Nationwide Series debut?

"For this weekend in my first start my goals are to first finish the race and I think a top 20 finish is reasonable. The biggest thing is I need to show is that I am capable of running at this level and taking care of the equipment."
