KESELOWSKI AT KENTUCKY -- Fresh off their first-ever NASCAR Nationwide Series win, Brad Keselowski and the No. 88 Navy Accelerate Your Life Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS team are headed to Kentucky Speedway for Saturday's Meijer 300. The race will be Keselowski's first Nationwide race at the 1.5-mile track, but he has two previous Truck Series starts at Kentucky.

GOING FOR GOLD -- Keselowski will make his 50th career start in the NASCAR Nationwide Series in Saturday's Meijer 300. The 24-year-old driver has one win, four top-fives and 12 top-10 finishes to his credit during that span.

CLOSING IN -- Approaching the midpoint of the 2008 season, Keselowski is closing in on the Nationwide Series point leaders. He is currently ranked fifth in the standings and is the highest Nationwide Series-only driver, just two points behind fourth-place driver Carl Edwards, four markers away from third-place driver Kyle Busch, 26 from second-place driver David Reutimann and 192 outside of first-place driver Clint Bowyer.

KESELOWSKI TO APPEAR AT MEIJER -- On Thursday, Keselowski will visit the Florence, Ky., Meijer store at 4990 Houston Road, with the Nationwide Insurance display that touts the dangers of driving while distracted. Keselowski will join fellow Nationwide Series driver Eric McClure at the store from 5-7 p.m. The Navy will also have recruiters out to greet visitors to the display.

CHASSIS NO. 356 -- The No. 88 Navy team will utilize Chassis No. 356 this weekend at Kentucky Speedway. The last time Keselowski was at the wheel of No. 356 he led 25 laps and finished third behind Kyle Busch and Denny Hamlin at Lowe's Motor Speedway.

USS DOYLE -- The USS Doyle (FFG 39) is the Navy team's Fleet Honoree for the Meijer 300 at Kentucky Speedway. The USS Doyle was commissioned on May 21, 1983, and is named after Vice Admiral James Henry Doyle The USS Doyle's mission is to provide multi-threat protection for military, merchant and shipping, amphibious task forces and underway replenishment groups. Simply stated, the crew of the USS Doyle provides a well-maintained ship, operated by a well-trained crew, ready for a variety of peacetime and wartime tasking.

KESELOWSKI (on what it takes to get around Kentucky--) - "I haven't run any Nationwide races at Kentucky, but I've been there before with the Truck Series. You've got to be fast to run well there. You've also got to have a car that handles well and just a mistake-free race. That's really what it takes to be successful at this level in racing. That's what we had in Nashville and we came away with a win. I think we've got a good shot at doing the same at Kentucky this weekend."

KESELOWSKI (on running the non-companion races--) - "I see every week as an opportunity for this Navy team to win. We've got great cars and a great crew working on them. I think there's only one or two Cup guys who aren't running this stretch of races, so I don't see it being a whole lot different than any other race we've had this year. The only big difference is track time. When they fly in to these races we're on a more level playing ground with track time because they don't get a couple extra hours on Friday and then another hour or two right before our race on Saturday in their Cup cars. The more equal amount of playing time does help even things out for the guys who just run in the Nationwide Series."
