NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS)
NEWS, NOTES & NUMBERS: Toyota Camry drivers have recorded one victory (Busch -- California), five top-fives and 14 top- 10 finishes through four 2009 races ... In addition, Camry drivers have, captured one pole and led 345 laps ... Two Germain Racing crew members, PJ Briody (rear tire carrier) and James Davis (jack man), call Austin, Texas home ... The Ultimate NASCAR Fan Sienna Rampvan, a mobility minivan painted similar to Jason Leffler's No. 38 Great Clips race car, will be on display at the Texas race as part of a fangiveaway.com promotion.
TODD BRAUN, Team Owner, Braun Racing
What has been the response to the Ultimate NASCAR Fan Sienna Rampvan giveaway? "We are very proud of our Fan Van giveaway promotion. It allows us the opportunity to help someone that needs help in accomplishing many everyday activities that most of us take for granted. Additionally, it gives us the chance to show race fans what a quality product the Toyota Sienna is, but also to demonstrate the capabilities of Braun Mobility and how its product can change lives. We have seen so many deserving entries for this promotion and we look forward to being able to choose a winner and to improving the quality of that person's life."
MICHAEL WALTRIP, No. 99 Aaron's Dream Machine Camry, Michael Waltrip Racing
Are you enjoying running some NNS races this year? "It's been fun. Aaron's has been a sponsor of mine since 1999 and they've been so cool to work with and so enthusiastic about what we do. We've been able to win races for them. The Aaron's car is responsible for where we are today as a team. I always have a special place in my heart for the Nationwide car."
KYLE BUSCH, No. 18 NOS Energy Drink Toyota Camry, Joe Gibbs Racing
Can you win a third straight race at Texas? "I think we've got a great shot of being able to sweep both Nationwide Series races at Texas again this year. We have great cars at Joe Gibbs Racing and there's no reason that we won't have a good shot. (Kevin) Harvick was good there last year and Tony (Stewart) will be driving his car there this time, so that will be a tough race. I think Joey (Logano) in the 20 car will also be good there and Carl (Edwards) will be tough, too. It should be interes ting to see who all we have to battle. I feel like our cars are pretty good. To get three in a row would be special, and Jason Ratcliff (crew chief) and the guys will have our cars very competitive."
MICHAEL ANNETT, No. 15 Pilot Travel Centers Camry, Germain Racing
What are you going to do with your 'off day' away from the track on Friday? "When we're on the road traveling for Nationwide Series races it's rare that we have much free time, so having the day off on Friday at Texas is a treat. I've made plans with my Germain Racing teammates to play golf while we are off. It's good for us to spend time together away from the track and share a common interest aside from racing."
