News and Notes:
v The Lakeland, Florida native will be making his 26th NASCAR Camping World Truck Series start at Darlington Raceway this Saturday.
v This will be Fontaine’s first NCWTS race at Darlington.
v The last NCWTS race Fontaine ran was at Daytona in February. After running in the top 10 for most of the race, his night was ended in the wreck on lap 96.
How he feels about his first Darlington NCWTS start and what he expects:
“I am real excited about it. We get better every time. The trucks have only raced there once, so teams don’t have a lot of notes for there. We will be on a level playing field and there are a lot of new drivers, so we should do well.”
On what he learned at Daytona that he can bring to Darlington:
“It is a completely different track and a different style of racing.”
When asked if Fontaine has ever raced on a track similar to Darlington:
“Not really, it is pretty unique in the way you have to run it. You have to run up high. I have run the track on i-racing on the computer, and we will just see what we end up with.”
About his and the teams plans for running the full NCWTS schedule of races this year:
"We are going to take it one race at a time."
Fontaine got his first NCWTS career top ten start by qualifying sixth at Talledega
