Dotter to work from 26th in Silverado 350 NCTS shootout at Texas Motor Speedway.

ROANOKE, TX Bobby Dotter will start in the 26th position in his Albertson's/People Against Drugs Chevrolet in the Silverado 350 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race at Texas Motor Speedway. Dotter's fastest lap in qualifying was 31.995 seconds/168.988 miles per hour.

"We tested at Atlanta last week and we thought we would come here and run really good right off the trailer," Dotter said. "It has been a struggle. We can't seem to find the speed we need. That seems to be the same problem we have at all the speedway races.

"We'll think about it tonight and see what we can come up with. We would really like to have a good run here in Texas. We have Albertson's on board with us again this weekend, and there will be a lot of people from Albertson's here to see the race on Friday. It would be nice to give them some excitement with a good run and a solid finish. We had a couple of appearances at Albertson's stores here in the Dallas area and we met a lot of enthusiastic race fans. We want to put on a good show for them too."

Dotter has another motive for a top finish in the Silverado 350: points.

"We have worked really hard to get to this position in the points," he continued. "I wish we had a few more races at places like Martinsville and South Boston as we end up the season. We run really strong on the short tracks. This race is going to be a big hurdle for us, but I think we can get a decent finish and keep even with the guys we are racing in the points. If we can get out of here with a decent run, we still have a shot at making a run for 13th or even 12th in points."

The Silverado 350 from Texas Motor Speedway will get the green flag at 9 pm ET, and will be heard live on XM Satellite Radio and MRN Radio affiliates nationwide. The race will be broadcast on a tape delayed basis on ESPN 2 starting at 11:30 pm ET.
