Grant Enfinger joins ThorSport, completing full-time lineup

Enfinger, 32, who sat on the pole in the season-opener at Daytona International Speedway last year and won his first race at Talladega Superspeedway in October, will also compete for the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series rookie-of-the-year honors with the Sandusky, Ohio-based team.

"I'm extremely grateful to ThorSport Racing and Toyota for the opportunity to drive full time in the NASCAR Camping World truck series," said Grant Enfinger. "This is a dream come true, and I'm blessed to be able to share this season with some great people.

“I'm proud to be continuing the partnership with Champion Power Equipment, along with starting new ones with Jive Communications, RIDE TV, and Curb Records. I'm very impressed with the people, equipment, and facility that Duke and Rhonda Thorson have assembled, and I can't wait to get to Daytona in a few weeks.”

Enfinger, who hails from Fairhope, Ala., honed his skills in go-karts before moving through Legends cars, Super Late Models and ARCA, where he won the 2015 title with six wins, three poles 13 top fives and 16 top 10s.

Crew chief Jeff Hensley returns to ThorSport to oversee Enfinger’s program. In the last 12 seasons, Hensley has amassed 13 truck series wins. Enfinger has 14 career truck starts but enjoyed his best season last year with GMS racing prior to moving to ThorSport.
