Loudon: Jason Small qualifying notes

Small starting 18th in first visit to New Hampshire.

LOUDON, NH Jason Small will start his Sunbelt Rentals Chevrolet in the 18th position in Saturday's New England 200 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race at the New Hampshire International Speedway. Small's qualifying lap around the flat 1.017 mile oval was 30.641 seconds, which translates into 124.304 miles per hour.

"I am really happy with the way the truck is running right now," Small said after Happy Hour practice. "I told the guys we are good to go and not to touch it. We really haven't had to make many adjustments at all on the Sunbelt Rentals Chevy, other than fine tuning a little bit. I think we went up a half an inch on the track bar all day."

Small said the hardest part about getting up to speed on the Magic Mile was learning the line, and staying in a rhythm.

"I would get out there and figure out the line and really pick up some time," Small continued. "Then I would get in traffic and start to do what everyone else was doing and it would cost us a half a second. I just have to stay in my own rhythm and not let what the other guys are doing affect my line."

The New England 200 from the New Hampshire International Speedway will take the green flag at 1 pm ET. It will be broadcast live on ESPN, and heard live on XM Satellite Radio and MRN Radio affiliates nationwide.
