MILLINGTON, Tenn. - Tracy Hines earned the 13th starting position in qualifying for the O'Reilly Auto Parts 200 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series (NCTS) race at the Memphis Motorsports Park Friday, June 18. The race is slated for Saturday, June 19.
"We were a little tight in the center of the corner all day," Hines said. "The guys kept working on it, got it better for qualifying, and that showed in the lap we ran. We'd like to be starting on the pole, but we feel like we're close enough to the front that we can race with them."
Hines fastest lap in the No. 88 Menards Chevrolet was 22.953 seconds (117.632 miles per hour). Jack Sprague won the pole (22.705/118.705) for the 200-lap race at the ¾-mile oval.
The O'Reilly Auto Parts 400 is slated to begin at 3 p.m. EDT/noon p.m. PDT Saturday, June 19. The race will be telecast live on SpeedChannel and broadcast on the radio affiliates of the Motor Racing Network.
