NEMCO Motorsports looks for successful reunion with Chevrolet
The Nemecheks will campaign trucks with ECR power.
NEMCO Motorsports will return to the Team Chevy fold in 2015.
After two seasons with Toyota, the team announced on Friday that Joe and John Hunter Nemechek will compete in Silverados in NASCAR’s Camping World Truck Series and NEMCO will race Chevrolets in its Late Model program.
NEMCO returns to Chevy after a 20-year relationship stretching from 1991 to 2011 were the team amasses 18 wins and the 1992 championship in the XFINITY Series and one victory in trucks.

“We look forward to joining the Chevrolet NASCAR program this season," Nemechek said in the release. “I've had a long-term relationship with Chevrolet for the majority of my career and I look forward to continuing that relationship.”
The father and son duo will share driving duties in the truck series until John Hunter turns 18 on June 11. John Hunter will drive the No 8 SWM-NEMCO Motorsports Chevrolet powered by ECR Engines for the remainder of the season starting with the Kentucky Speedway race on July 9.
The elder Nemechek has four wins and 10 poles in the Cup series and 16 wins, 18 poles and a championship in the XFINITY Series. He posted his second career top five in the truck series last season at Texas and enjoyed nine top 10 finishes in 12 truck starts.
Although John Hunter ran just 10 truck races in 2014, he posted his first top five at Loudon, scored six top 10s and earned an average finish of 10.4.
"This is a big step for our team,” John Hunter said. “I look forward to working with Chevrolet and the guys at ECR Engines for a competitive season in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. I have never worked with them (ECR Engines) before, but I look forward to building a relationship with them and running up front in 2015.”
