Kansas City, KS - The sweltering heat of Kansas City could not slow down Dennis Setzer and the #46 Acxiom/Computer Associates Chevrolet as they took the pole for the first ever NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series O'Reilly Auto Parts 250 at the new Kansas Speedway.

Setzer took the pole with a time of 33.249 at a speed of 162.411 at the 1.5-mile speedway. It was a long wait as Setzer went out early in the qualifying session and most of his major competitors had late runs.

"The truck has been pretty good all day. We have been in the top-five all day and we have been trying to catch Sprague and Hendrick," said Setzer. It's really exciting to be one, two, three. As far as that (qualifying) lap, that's exactly what we tested at all during the test session. The surface is so good you can overdrive at least a little bit and kill some time. It's mostly a control track."

The pole is only the second of Setzer's Craftsman Truck Series career. His first, and only, pole before today's was at the Indianapolis Raceway Park in 1999. Oddly enough, he edged out current Morgan-Dollar Motorsports crew chief, Danny Gill for that pole. "I have not been a great qualifier in the past and don't remember much from the IRP pole, but (crew chief) Danny said that he remembered losing that pole to me very well. I am just glad that we could get this one here together and that we have a really good truck to go race with tomorrow," Setzer also stated.

The pole comes at a good time for most associates and family members of the team. With the shop being based in Hennessey, Oklahoma, this is considered the home track for Morgan-Dollar Motorsports.
