Richmond, VA - Dennis Setzer and the #46 Acxiom/Computer Associates race team experienced an up and down "day" at the Richmond International Raceway Thursday for the running of the Kroger 200, but fortunately the ups came when it counted most.

Early in the day the Acxiom/Computer Associates crew struggled in practice facing an ill-handling truck. Those problems seemed to fade quickly though, as Setzer clicked off a lap of 22.248 seconds to earn his second pole of the 2001 season and third of his career. However, after the pole winning performance the team once again was left scratching their heads placing 16th in the "happy hour" session.

"After struggling this morning and then pulling the pole out of our hats, I started to get a little concerned heading into the race once I saw how things were going in "happy hour," Setzer stated. "The guys really worked hard on it all day and got the truck pretty good for the start of the race."

As the sun set and the green flag dropped Setzer reported that the truck was responding to the team's changes, but wasn't strong enough to hold the lead. He quickly slipped into third place and rode in the top-5 until the first pit stop on lap 70. That's when the Morgan/Dollar Motorsports crew came to life. Setzer entered the pits in fourth and returned to the track third after a lighting fast pit stop, bolting on right side tires and fuel.

Just past the halfway point, Dennis radioed in that the truck was "skatey" and would require adjustments on the next stop. That teams second stop came on lap 150, with Setzer taking right side tires, restarting in the 6th position.

The call of the night came on lap 155 when a late race caution flew. Crew chief, Danny Gill, made the decision to pit for left side tires, since Setzer was 6th on the gird with only 8 trucks remaining on the lead lap. During the final sprint, Setzer made a patented charge to the front and drove the #46 ACXIOM/Computer Associates Chevrolet Silverado into contention for the win. Setzer made a pass for third with 3 to go and had the front two in his sights when the checkered flag flew.

"We just needed a little more time and we would have had this one," stated Setzer. "This was a big night for Morgan-Dollar Motorsports and a very exciting night for me. We have come a long way this year and are enjoying being competitive each and every week. I am looking forward to making the trip to Texas next week and competing in front of what will be a hometown crowd for this Morgan/Dollar Motorsports bunch."

The team now heads to Ft. Worth, Texas for the Silverado 350 next Saturday at the Texas Motor Speedway. Live green flag coverage can be seen live on ESPN beginning at 4:00 p.m. EST. Live radio coverage can be heard on MRN affiliates starting at 3:30 p.m. EST.
