JOHNNY BENSON, No. 23 Brangus Toyota Tundra, Bill Davis Racing
Finished: 3rd

Do you think you anyone could've beaten Ron Hornaday tonight?

"Trip Bruce and all the guys -- they always do just a tremendous job. It was a good run for us. I really thought we were going to run second. The 33 (Ron Hornaday), you couldn't touch him, no matter where it was on the track. They just came up off the corner extremely good. They could pretty much run wide open. It was a great run for them, and a great run for us. Overall, I'm pretty happy."

Was your strategy to hang in the back before a late-race charge to the front?

"We were trying to get to the front as fast as we could. On that one stop, we didn't take tires, and that put us up front. I thought
we were going to be in pretty good shape for a while. That was the right thing to do, but I was hoping it ran longer, but it didn't.
The time that we took our tires and those guys didn't, it put us way deep in the pack. We were able to fight up there and run
third, so I'm extremely happy. The engine in this Toyota ran extremely well. It was a lot of fun to race."
