ERIC NORRIS TRADES STUNTS FOR SEAT AT TEXAS MOTOR SPEEDWAY

FORT WORTH-DALLAS (October, 5, 1999) - His day job is coordinating stunts and directing selected episodes of the hit television program Walker, Texas Ranger. But his weekends consist of racing fast cars and trucks. And, for Eric Norris, that means joining the Bobby Hamilton Racing Team for the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Bluebonnet 300 on Oct. 15 at Texas Motor Speedway.

"I am really excited about driving for a first class team like Hamilton Racing," Norris said from the set of the Walker television series. "I want to go out and show them I can run a smart race and finish it. This is a great opportunity."

Norris will not have far to commute for the Bluebonnet 300. The Walker, Texas Ranger series shoots on location in the Fort Worth-Dallas area. Star of the show, and Eric's father, Chuck Norris, plans to cheer his son on at the truck race, which means a lot to Eric.

"It is really neat to be able to race in my own backyard," Norris said. "All my family and friends are here, and they are looking forward to coming out to a first class facility like Texas Motor Speedway."

Some lucky fans will have the opportunity to watch the Bluebonnet 300 with Chuck Norris in his private suite at the speedway. Cinemark Theaters, Coca-Cola, and Interstate Batteries are sponsoring a promotion to provide four winners tickets to the suite. To register, look for the Eric Norris display in Cinemark Theaters.

Norris has been busy racing cars in the NASCAR Winston West Series that began in January in Tucson, Ariz. Through 12 races, he has four top 10 finishes, including one in the top five. Currently in 12th place in the point standings, Norris will race at Bakersfield, Calif., just two days (Oct. 17) after the Bluebonnet 300 at Texas Motor Speedway. He finishes the Winston West Series season on Nov. 21 at Motegi City, Japan.
