Scott Lynch Looks Forward to Another New Challenge

Heading to the Lone Star State, Scott Lynch is looking forward to another new challenge when he gets in the No. 62 Orleans Dodge at Texas Motor Speedway for Round 23 of the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, Friday, November 4.

"This will mark the very first time, I have ever driven at Texas Motor Speedway," says the Las Vegas resident. But I have good thoughts about this upcoming round. I learned an incredible amount at Atlanta last weekend and I understand that Texas is very similar. We tested at Texas World this week and our 62 Orleans Dodge is good as is our Kroyer Racing Engine. If all goes well, I think we should be able to have a good run here this weekend."

Not only does Lynch have a strong Dodge truck and an excellent crew, but his teammate Brendan Gaughan is a master at Texas Motor Speedway. "I definitely have the very best coach in the series," says Lynch. "Brendan has earned four wins at this track and his input for this race will be invaluable to me. Luckily we have two 1 hour practice sessions prior to qualifying and with his help I should be able to learn a lot about the track. Our ultimate goal would be to qualify and finish in the top 10 and that is what we will be going for."

An excellent driver, this will mark Lynch's third event in the truck series this year. "Prior to this season, the only experience I had in the Craftsman Truck Series was at Las Vegas, Phoenix and Homestead and those tracks are very different than Atlanta and Texas. This is an incredible learning curve for me and one that I am very grateful for."

Qualifying for the 147 Lap/220.5 Mile Silverado 350K will get underway Thursday, November 3 at 8:00 PM (ET) and Craftsman Truck Series racers will take the Green Flag on Friday, November 4 at 9:00 PM (ET). Check out qualifying on TruckSeries.com and watch the race live on SPEED TV.
