Busch captures third career Nationwide Series win at O'Reilly Raceway Park at Indianapolis in the Kroger 200 benefitting Riley Hospital for Children

INDIANAPOLIS (July 24, 2010) In a dominating performance, Kyle Busch was able to hold off a hard charging Carl Edwards to win his third Nationwide Series race at O'Reilly Raceway Park during the Kroger 200 benefitting Riley Hospital for Children. Busch led 144 of the 200 laps but surviving a green white checkered finish secured his victory.

The last caution of the night came out on lap 196 and set up the final dual between the two tough competitors. The drivers made slight contact during the final two laps but in the end Busch was able to hold on with a margin of victory of .198 seconds.

"It was a good, clean hard-fought battle. When you treat people with respect, that's what you get, respect back. Carl was awesome tonight. I had a tough battle there at the beginning with Trevor Bayne. I had to do what I had to do to get by him sometimes," said Busch after the race. "Of course I have to thank the fans. It's fun to come out here and put on a great show like this and hopefully they enjoy it."

With the win he ties Morgan Shepherd as the all time win leader and notches his eighth Nationwide Series win in only his 16th start of the season.

While Edwards is always looking to win any race he is entered in he was comfortable with his second place finish.

"I wasn't going to move Kyle out of the way, I couldn't move him out of the way. My hats off to those guys they did a great job," stated Edwards. "I can't complain, second place isn't what we came here for but about 20-laps in we were running 12th and 15th and it wasn't looking good."
