Rick Ware Racing announces Nationwide Series campaign

Rick Ware Racing is proud to announce their fulltime campaign in the NASCAR Nationwide Series for 2009. In addition to the Nationwide Series, Rick Ware Racing (RWR) will also compete in the NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Division, AMA Arenacross and Motocross series and run limited action in the NASCAR Sprint Cup and Camping World Truck Series during the 2009 season.

Dubbed the "Biggest Little Team in Motorsports", Rick Ware Racing will field the #13 and #31 in the Nationwide Series. Stanton Barrett will compete in approximately 20 Nationwide Series races this season and former Daytona 500 winner Derrick Cope will be helping with driving duties as well. Tim Brown, the 7-time Track Champion at Bowman Gray Stadium will be competing once again in the Whelen Southern Modified Division, and will be making his Nationwide Series debut as part of the RWR developmental program this season.

Rick Ware Racing, the Two-Time Defending Champions of the AMA Arenacross have been busy since January, winning 9 events with riders Jeff Gibson and Josh Demuth on their Mahindra Tractors sponsored Hondas. Gibson currently holds the largest point lead thus far in AMA Arenacross history as RWR looks for its third consecutive championship. Teammate Josh Demuth, a two-time series champion, is in the hunt in 5th place at the time of this release.

Stanton Barrett will not only compete in the NASCAR Nationwide Series but also run a full season in the Indy Racing League (IRL) for 3G Racing.

Barrett will attempt to be the first NASCAR Nationwide Series driver to race the Indianapolis 500 on the same weekend.
