Dylan Kwasniewski will have a new crew chief this weekend at Chicagoland Speedway.

Car chief Shannon Rursch replaces veteran Pat Tryson as crew chief on the No 31 Rockstar Energy Chevy. Rursch joined TSM in December 2009.

“Shannon’s been with the team all year so it’s not going to be much of a change,” Kwasniewski told Motorsport.com. “Pat is a great guy, but that’s what the team wanted to do.

"Shannon really knows his stuff. He deserves a shot in a leadership role as a crew chief. I’m really excited about going to Chicagoland this weekend.”

Tryson was recruited by TSM last August to oversee the No. 30 Nationwide Series team and driver Nelson Piquet Jr. He was enlisted to work with Kwasniewski for his freshman year on the NNS tour.

Kwasniewski is currently 12th in the Nationwide point standings. Although the former K&N Pro Series East and West champion won the pole for the season opening race at Daytona International Speedway and finished eighth in the DRIVE4COPD 300, Kwasniewski hasn’t scored a top 10 since then and hasn't led a lap all season.

After posting a 13th-place finish at New Hampshire Motor Speedway last Saturday, Kwasniewski tweeted:

Let the "regrouping" begin.
