CONCORD, N.C. – Mike Wallace’s Nationwide Series record at Charlotte Motor Speedway includes a top 10 and a pair of top-15 runs.
Wallace, driving the Bojangles’ Famous Chicken ’n Biscuits Chevrolet, looks to improve on that record Friday night in the Dollar General 300 at CMS as the Nationwide season rolls into its final weeks.
Wallace finished 10th in a Nationwide event at CMS in 2008.
He was 24th in the Nationwide race in May this year and will be back this weekend in the 01 Chevrolet.
“Charlotte Motor Speedway is a track that a lot of us consider home, and it’s always a target to do well there,” Wallace said. “We’ll have one of our best cars and look to run well.”
The Charlotte race week will serve as a celebration of the recent Bojangles’ Golf Classic to benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association and of all the franchisees and teammates who support MDA in various ways throughout the year. Wallace has been involved in MDA’s Muscle team in Charlotte for several years, donating generous auction packages to help raise funds for the cause and spending time with children affected by neuromuscular diseases.
Wallace’s JD Motorsports Chevrolet will be outfitted with a special Bojangles’ and MDA design as part of this one-time sponsorship to bring visibility to our shared support for MDA.
