All-Star Showdown: Blake Koch Friday rain notes

Toyota Showdown debut for Golden Gate Racing Team and Blake Koch delayed due to inclement weather conditions; Saturday qualifying time to be announced

IRWINDALE, CA -- The Richard Childress Racing Driver Development Golden Gate Racing Team will have to wait one more day for driver Blake Koch to take the green flag aboard the GodSpeaks.com, Bay BioDiesel #21 Chevrolet in the "Daytona 500 of Short Track Racing" as inclement weather conditions have postponed qualifying for the NASCAR Camping World Series Toyota All Star Showdown until Saturday afternoon.

According to an official media release from Toyota Speedway at Iwindale, rain caused a near washout of Friday's track schedule, which was to include practice, qualifying, a NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Super Late Model race and a NASCAR Camping World Series qualifying race.

Efforts are still being made this evening to permit practice sessions at the track, and a revised schedule for Saturday's activities will be released as soon as it becomes available. Saturday's schedule will included the 150-lap Super Late Model, 75-Lap Late Model and the both the NASCAR Camping World Series qualifying and main races.

Already determined, the garage will open for race teams from all three divisions at 7 a.m.

Gates will open for spectators at 2 p.m. Fans who purchased tickets for Friday's activities may re-use them for Saturday's activities.
