Ryan Seaman Looks To Make NHIS Race Count Big
Young New Jersey Driver Enjoys Going to New Hampshire

CONCORD, NC (July 5, 2006) -- Ryan Seaman can't help but to be optimistic about the upcoming NASCAR Busch East Series event at New Hampshire International Speedway. The 2004 Rookie of the Year has a solid record at the track, with a strong ninth-place finish there in last September's event and he really enjoys racing at the facility.

But the ace in the hole for Seaman's #06 team might be the fact that they are running a limited schedule of events in 2006. Because of a lack of sponsorship, Seaman must pick and choose the races that he competes in. This means that the team has had plenty of time to prepare for NHIS. A bolt that might be checked twice normally, will be checked three times before heading to the track. A part that might start to be tired after four races this season, is fresh after only one start.

Seaman is planning to make his start at NHIS really count. In fact, he keeps raising his goals for the event.

"I'll be pretty disappointed if we don't come out of New Hampshire with a nice solid top-five finish," said Seaman. "If not even the top three. That's what we are going for. Hopefully we can get all of our eggs in one basket and maybe even win that thing."

One thing that Seaman is particularly looking forward to is qualifying at the one-mile track.

"I definitely would like to pull a pole out before the end of the season," said Seaman. "With the way that things went at the test, I definitely think that is possible. We just need to do a little bit of fine tuning and do it."

Rain cut short a recent open test for Seaman and the NASCAR Busch East teams at NHIS. Although the #06 only got about 15 laps in on the track between showers, Seaman was satisfied with what his team found out.

"It went really well for us," said Seaman. "The rain dampened things a little bit. They dried the track and we finally got out there about one o'clock. We had a couple of minor issues that we worked out, but the car was driving very well. The rain started again at 3:30 and they got the jet driers out there. It was just about dry when it started raining again. It ended early, but the short amount of time that we did get went very well."

The NASCR Busch East Series has a diverse schedule -- with everything from tight bullrings to sharing the track with the NASCAR Nextel Cup Series on weekends at NHIS and Dover. Seaman has always put together strong performances at those larger venues and that bodes well for NHIS.

"I like the bigger tracks. There is a lot more racing room and it is more fun. Our crew chief, Kevin Crammer knows how to prepare a car for those races too. He was with Martin Truex, Jr. and he is a great asset to our team now."

The New England 125 for the NASCAR Busch East Series is scheduled for 5:10pm on Friday, July 14th at New Hampshire International Speedway.
