The 2001 Busch North Series Awards Ceremony will be held on Saturday night, October 27, at the Chubb Theatre of the Capitol Center for the Arts in Concord, N.H. In common with several other NASCAR Touring Series, this year's ceremony will adopt a theatre-style format, sometimes called an Academy Awards format, with dinner served separately before the audience enters the hall. This approach was successfully tried with the Winston West Series awards ceremony in 2000 and received such strong support that it is being extended to other series this year.

The Budweiser 150 at Seekonk Speedway on Saturday, May 26, represents the first of 12 consecutive rce weekends for the Busch North Series. After a scheduled break from August 11 to 26, the series is scheduled on six straight weeks through the end of September, for a total of 18 races in 19 weeks.

Making life a little easier for the teams and their families is the fact that 12 of those 19 races are one-day events. After the long summer stretch is over, just one race remains, the traditional finale at Lime Rock Park on October 13.

Each race is edited into a one-hour program for broadcast on AT&T Broadband's Channel 3, which reaches a potential audience in excess of 3,000,000 throughout New England. Each race is aired twice. The first showing of the Budweiser 150 at Seekonk is scheduled for July 9.

Veteran race announcer Dave Stevens handles the play-by-play, joined in the booth by color commentator Thom Ring. Jerry Venne is the pit reporter. The Speedway Heat programs are produced under the direction of executive producer Mark Chavous at AT&T Broadband studios in Foxboro, Mass.
