WEEKEND FACT SHEET

The weekend includes three races:

The Thirteenth Annual Bud at the Glen is the main event of the weekend featuring the NASCAR Winston Cup Series. Forty-two drivers will take the green flag Sunday afternoon at 1:10 p.m. where they will battle it out for 90 laps around the famous 2.45-mile NASCAR circuit.

The NASCAR Busch Grand National North drivers will compete in a 150-mile event around the 2.45-mile NASCAR Course in the Pepsi 150on Saturday at noon.

The third race of the weekend will be the SCCA BOSCH Trans-Am Championship race. They'll take the green flag Saturday at 3:30 p.m. for their 42-lap event.

Defending winners:

The defending winner of the Bud at the Glen is Jeff Gordon in the DuPont Chevrolet. Gordon will be back to defend his title along with the Rainbow Warriors against Rusty Wallace, Terry Labonte, Ricky Rudd, Chemung native Geoff Bodine and the rest of the NASCAR Winston Cup drivers.

The defending winner of the Busch Grand National North event is Ted Christopher. Christopher will defend his title against Busch Grand National Rookie of the Year Contender Andy Santerre as he returns to Watkins Glen International for the Pepsi 150. Joining them will be Eric Bodine from Waverly, N.Y. as well as Busch North regulars Dale Shaw, Mike Stefanik, Kelly Moore and the rest of the field.

The defending winner of the Trans-Am event is Tommy Kendall. Last year, Kendall drove the All Sport Ford Mustang to victory in an effort to beat Mark Donohue’s all-time consecutive win record. Paul Gentilozzi will be attempting to keep his dominating season on a role. But right behind him, John Miller IV, Brian Simo and Chris Neville are knocking on his rear door trying to score their first Trans-Am career victories.
