Toyota Racers head to Bristol for penultimate Goody'S Dash event.

HUFFMAN AIMING FOR FIFTH GOODY'S DASH TITLE, TOYOTA'S FIRST - As the NASCAR Goody's Dash Series heads to the "World's Fastest Half Mile" on Wednesday night, Aug. 20, Robert Huffman tries to solidify his record-tying fifth Goody's Dash Series Championship and Toyota's first-ever championship in a NASCAR-sanctioned series. With a victory at Bristol, the four-time champion (1990, 1998-2000) would claim title number five with a top-20 finish at the season finale in Atlanta. While racing to his 41st career victory at the last race in Kentucky, the driver of the No. 37 White House Apple Juice Toyota Celica increased his series' points lead to 78 with only two races to go in the season. Huffman has earned three wins, five top-five finishes, and six top-10s this year. His 1,010 points puts him ahead of fellow Toyota racers Jake Hobgood (third) and Brandon Ward (fourth).

HOBGOOD AND HUFFMAN RETURN SITE OF LAST YEAR'S WILD FINISH- Defending Goody's Dash Series Champion Jake Hobgood returns to Bristol ready to defend his title and make up for his results here last year. The 2002 race concluded with a final-lap, final-turn incident between Hobgood and Robert Huffman that moved them from first and second, respectively, to eighth- and ninth-place finishes. Huffman took the checkered flag, but officials ruled the incident rough driving. Currently third in the season standings with 896 points, Hobgood would like nothing more than to put his No. 64 Germain Toyota Celica in front of the field all the way to the checkered flag. Hobgood went on to win the 2002 championship and has followed up with strong results this season, including a win in South Boston and three top-five finishes. He was 11th at the last Goody's Dash race in Kentucky.

WARD MAKES IT THREE TOYOTAS IN TOP FOUR - Providing Toyota with three of the top four positions in the season standings is Brandon Ward, whose consistent finishes in the No. 11 Rayco Safety/TRD Toyota Celica put him in fourth place with 798 points. Bristol was the site of Ward's first career victory in 2001, and a good showing this year would get him back on track after a string of three top-fives was broken by an accident in the Kentucky race. Another Toyota racer to watch for is rookie of the year contender and Bristol local Reece Milton, who finished with a career best seventh place last year at Bristol, and teammate Wade Day, who dominated the race at Greenville-Pickens in July.

"QUOTES"
Robert Huffman, No. 37 White House Apple Juice Toyota Celica - "Bristol is one of my favorite tracks. Last year's finish was as exciting as it gets, and the fans were really into the race. The White House Apple Juice Celica took the pole last year, and we needed to win to stay close to Jake for the championship. This year will be a little bit different. I'll take a second this time if I am in the same position."

Jake Hobgood, No. 64 Germain Toyota Celica - "Bristol is always a great place to race. The Germain Celica should really do well on the high-banking and give us a shot at the win, as long as we can stay out of any incidents."
