1999 REVIEW: 1999 Goody's Dash Series, NASCAR Touring Champion Robert Huffman made this event his own as he obliterated the previous qualifying mark in establishing a new record of 95.347 mph. Huffman went on to lead all 125 laps that saw eight cautions for 38 laps slow the event. 2000 is starting out similar to 1999 for Huffman who recorded a second and back-to-back wins in 1999. In 2000 he has two wins, a fourth place and a third win.

Huffman is the series points leader entering this event just as he was in 1999. Johnny Chapman turned in a strong performance subbing for the injured Scott Weaver but both drivers will be in the field this year in their own cars. A strong performance was turned in by Joey Miller, in only his second series event. After starting 22nd he worked his way to a fourth place finish to earn a top five finishing position.
