1999 REVIEW: 1999 Goody's Dash Series, NASCAR Touring Champion Robert Huffman made this event his own, leading twice for 56 of the 67 lap event. Huffman started from the pole and led the first 37 laps before making a necessary stop for fuel. Three other drivers led over the next 11 laps before Huffman went back to the point to lead the final 19 laps. The race produced four cautions periods for 25 laps in an event that bordered on a demolition derby as 10 cars were involved in the first caution period and seven cars were involved in the second caution. A final multi-car incident on the white flag lap also involved many cars when Zach Brewer, running second, got loose and collected the Ned Combs machine that was running third.
