Fourth Win Of Season for Joey Logano an Exciting One
Joe Gibbs Racing Development Driver Leads Just One-Quarter of Most Important Lap

MOORESVILLE, NC (July 30, 2007) -- Joey Logano has won races in every possible way this year, his first season racing with the NASCAR Grand National Series in both the Busch East and West Series. He's won in dominating fashion. He's beat NASCAR Nextel Cup superstars. He's won in races where he came out of nowhere to be there at the end of the event.

On Saturday night, Joey won in the most exciting way possible: a final lap pass, coming to the checkers. And he was at a loss of words on how to describe it.

"This is definitely an awesome win," said Logano, who moved from fifth to first in the final 10 laps of the event. "It's definitely one of the coolest wins -- to be able to win it like that. It's pretty awesome."

Logano passed leader Bryon Chew on Saturday night in the Edge Hotel 150 at Adirondack International Speedway (NY) when Chew checked up trying to avoid a lapped car on the last lap. Logano was racing right behind the leader and saw a hole open up down low coming through three and four. Logano was able to grab the top spot coming out of turn four and take the checkers at the line, beating Chew by 0.221-seconds.

"I didn't think we had anything for them all night and at the end we started backing up a bit. I had burned the right rear off the car. But I had enough to get it going again. Then, the leaders started wrecking there in turn four and I just dive-bombed it in there and hoped for the best.

"I was right on (Chew's) bumper and I was going to try to get on him a little bit going into that corner and see what would happen from there. But then they all started wrecking and I had to go high to get back behind him because there was a car on the bottom and another one in the middle of the track. He hesitated for a minute and I drove it in there, and that's what it took.

"I've won and lost races like this. We capitalized this week, but next week, it might be the other way around."

It was a great win for Logano, who started up front after the race was set by virtue of the point standings. Logano struggled during much of the race, but kept himself in a position to win at the end of the 150 laps.

"I was going for a top-10," added Logano. "I was going backwards pretty quick at the beginning of the race. I didn't know what was going to happen. But the tires came in at the end because I was trying to save them. Then, it all happened there at the end of the race."

It was Logan's fourth win in eight Busch East Series starts in 2007 and his fifth win overall, which included one West Series victory.

"Wins are big. Second place isn't anything to a win, so this is pretty neat."

Logano's win extended his points lead over Matt Kobyluck to 192 points. Logano leads the Rookie of the Year points chase by 12 points over Rogelio Lopez. The series will now be off for a couple of weeks. The series will next take to the road course at Lime Rock Park on August 18th.
