DOVER, Del. (Sept. 28, 2009) -- The NASCAR Camping World Series East's Season of the Rookie ended with a race for rookies at Dover International Speedway.
Brett Moffitt won the Sunoco 150 race at the famous, mile-long banked track and 17-year-old Ryan Truex won the series championship.
Goodyear is the exclusive tire provider for the Camping World Series East and West, as well as for the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series. Goodyear provides the same line of bias-ply tires for all three series.
Moffitt won the race with a 2.562-second victory margin over Ryan Gifford. Corey LaJoie took third, followed by David Mayhew and Alan Tardiff. Matt DiBenedetto started on the pole after a qualifying lap averaging 155.166 mph.
Truex, a development driver for Michael Waltrip Racing, finished eighth in the race, but he won three times during the season. He finished the Dover race with 1,719 points, while Eddie MacDonald had 1,685.
