BECHTELSVILLE, PA SEPTEMBER 21, 2002 . . . Rain, not heavy rain, just enough to make the track too slick to run races safely, caused event organizer Bruce Rogers to postpone the feature race events for Late Models and Modifieds until next Saturday, September 28th, 6 p.m. at Grandview Speedway.

The finale of regular Saturday night stock car racing events will now include FOUR feature races plus a full slate of qualifying events. On Saturday night, the Late Models will restart their 20 lap feature with nine laps down and 11 to go and Randy Stoudt leading and trying for his ninth feature win of the season at the one-third-mile, clay banked Berks County oval.

The Modifieds will run their 30-lap main event that was rained out on Saturday night. Donny Erb, suffering through a dismal season, will start on the pole for the 29 car starting field.

With those features out of the way a complete new show will be presented including the qualifying events for the Modifieds and Late Models topped by a 20-lap feature for the Late Models and a 30-lap main event for the Modified stock cars.

At least 14 events of racing will make up the night's action, making the season finale for regular Saturday night stock car racing action a very full evening of racing entertainment with the green flag falling at 6 p.m.

Qualifying heats for the Modifieds, before the rains came on Saturday night, were won by Donny Erb, Jon Kellner, Jr., Meme DeSantis, Keith Brightbill and Kerry Kratz. In the consolation events, more than 50 modifieds were on hand, wins were earned by Craig Whitmoyer, Jeff Strunk and Craig VonDohren. The Automotive Machining Services Cash Dash went to Keith Brightbill.

In Late Model qualifiers wins went to Bill Henning, Randy Stoudt and Dean Stoudt
