We hope that everyone concerned can understand how honored we are to have been chosen by the Toyota Motor Company and NASCAR to host the inaugural "Toyota All-Star Show Down" at our speedway in early November of this year.

We take this decision to award Irwindale the first running of this prestigious national event as a strong endorsement of our dedicated professional staff and of the facility that they operate in.

Well before the first shovel of dirt was ever turned, our concept for Irwindale Speedway was for a place that would accommodate both topflight weekly racing as well as important national racing events. In our first four years we've worked hard to make that happen, and we feel that we've gained a good deal of respect and recognition in the process.

Crowning our 2003 NASCAR season with this truly national driver's championship will put a very bold exclamation point on our fifth year in operation. It will also give more people more reasons to participate in these six very popular NASCAR Divisions. Bringing these regional Champions here to southern California for their day in the sun is a plan that will resonate across this country and (we think) produce some of most competitive short track stock car racing that fans have ever witnessed, anywhere.

Everyone associated with the Irwindale Speedway operation; our staff, the Mayor and city council of Irwindale, and each and every one of our corporate sponsors, is committed to making this unique event a resounding success for all entities involved.

Once again, we offer our most sincere thanks to our friends and partners at Toyota and NASCAR and thank them especially for their confidence in Irwindale Speedway. Our corporate approach has always been, and will continue to be, to over-deliver on our promises to our sponsors as well as our fans.

Simply stated, we just can't wait for November 7-8-9 and our opportunity to host this nationally-important NASCAR event right here at "LA's Half-Mile Super Speedway"! -- And we hope that everyone else feels the same!
