Top 10 in the 2000 event: 1. B.J. Mackey; 2. Robert Huffman; 3. Cam Strader; 4. Jake Hobgood; 5. Jimmy Britts; 6. Justin Hobgood; 7. Ricky Bryant; 8. Scott Weaver; 9. Joey Miller; 10. Keith Roggen.

Points Leader Cam Strader, Robert Huffman, and Shane Hmiel are the repeat winners in 2001. Strader is from nearby Wilson and is very familar with Southern National Speedway. He will be looking to get back on track after two disappointing finishes at Daytona and Greenville-Pickens.

The closest Rookie battle in recent Goody's Dash Series, NASCAR Touring history. Tim Nichols (85) has a one point lead over Wayne Edwards and Shane Hmiel (84). Scott Redmon is in fourth place with 75 points.

2001 race was won by B.J. Mackey.The event produced three lead changes among three drivers. Cam Strader won the Bud Pole in 2001.

The Goody's Dash Series, NASCAR Touring has made four previous visits to this 4/10 mile oval. The first visit was in 1996. The 1999 event was cancelled due to the extensive flooding in North Carolina. Brian Sockwell holds the track record with a Bud Pole time of 15.349 seconds/93.817 mph.

Drivers knocking on the door for their first 2001 win: The "Three J's" - Jake Hobgood, Joey Miller, and Jimmy Britts. Scott Weaver is a collected his first career victory at Southern National Speedway in 1997.
