Three provisional positions have been established for any driver in the top 30 in the 2001 Goody's Dash Series, NASCAR Touring Championship Points who have attempted to qualify but did not make the field on their time. Two provisional positions have been established for any car owner that is the top 30 in the 2001 Goody's Dash Series, NASCAR Touring Championship Owner Points. One additional position has been established for a past Goody's Dash Series, NASCAR Touring Champion provided they have participated in competition during the 2001 season.)

*This will be the first time the Goody's Dash Series, NASCAR Touring has competed at Kentucky Speedway.

*There was an open test at Kentucky Speedway on Sunday, June 10. Goody's Dash Series, NASCAR Touring driver Johnny Chapman posted the fastest unofficial time.

*The first six events of the 2001 Goody's Dash Series, NASCAR Touring Schedule as seen four different winners. Cam Strader is the only mutiple winner to date and the most recent driver to win a race. Strader has won all of the races held in his home state of North Carolina which have included Orange County Speedway, Lowes Motor Speedway, and Coastal Plains Raceway. Justin Hobgood was the winner at Daytona International Speedway, Shane Hmiel won at Darlington Raceway, and Roger Sawyer won at Louisville Motor Speedway. Cam Strader and Roger Sawyer were among those who tested at Kentucky Speedway.

*Wayne Edwards, driver of the #77 Toyota Celica, is from Shephardsville, Kentucky.
