FIELD: 34 cars. Starting positions 1-30 will be determined by time trials (2 laps). Positions 31-34 will be available to any of the top 30 eligible drivers in the current 1997 NASCAR Slim Jim All Pro Series Championship point standings, who have entered the event, but have not qualified for one of the original 30 starting positions. If a starting position(s) remains unfilled, then that starting position(s) will become available to the next eligible car from the qualifying procedure for the event.

THE RACE: The Bi-Lo Bonuscard 200 is the 13th of 20 races on the 1997 series schedule. Consisting of 200 laps, the event is the second Slim Jim All Pro Series event to be held at Greenville-Pickens Speedway this year.

1996 REVIEW: In one of his seven starts in 1996, 1995 NASCAR Slim Jim All Pro Series Champion Hal Goodson picked up his only win in '96. Greenville's Toby Porter was second over eventual '96 Champion Mike Cope and Scott Sutherland and Shane Hall rounded out the top five.
NOTES OF INTEREST: ? 38 cars have pre-entered this 200 lap event which carries a maximum starting field of 34 racers. ? Previous winners of NASCAR Slim Jim All Pro Series events at Greenville-Pickens Speedway include Mike Garvey, Gary Balough, Jason Keller, Donnie Bishop, Jody Ridley (2 wins), Mike Cope (3 wins), Shane Hall, Toby Porter, Hal Goodson and Dick Anderson.a who's who of short track aces. ? There will be no repeat winner in 1997 at Greenville-Pickens Speedway. Dick Anderson, subbing for his son Wayne who was competing in a NASCAR Busch North Series event in Loudon, NH, will turn the wheel of the Porter Cable Power Tools Chevrolet back over to his son. The elder Anderson blistered the field in the spring event.

To get to Greenville-Pickens Speedway take I-85 to Exit 44, then north on Highway 25 to Highway 123 South. Then south on Highway 123 to Fairgrounds, or three miles north of headquarter motel on Highway 123.
