BURT MYERS WINS POLE POSITION FOR SUNDAY'S WHELEN 150 AT MUSIC CITY MOTORPLEX
NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Burt Myers has been a man on a mission so far this season when it comes to qualifying for the NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour. On Saturday night at Music City Motorplex, Myers cruised to his second straight pole of the season when he set the fastest qualifying time in Tour history.
Myers posted a speed of 115.026 to edge second-place qualifier Andrew Suess' speed of 114.805.
The top-10 in qualifying was rounded out by L.W. Miller, Brian Loftin, Brian King, George Brunnhoelzl, Bobby Hutchens, Tim Brown, Jason Myers and Wesley Swartout.
Following the draw-redraw, the new top 10 starters will be L.W. Miller, Jason Myers, King, Brown, Seuss, Brunnhoelzl, Swartout, Hutchens, Burt Myers and Brian Loftin. Defending NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour champion Junior Miller will start Sunday afternoon's race from the 14th position.
