South Boston Speedway begins 2004 activities.

SOUTH BOSTON, VA--. Big Daddy's South Boston Speedway has scheduled a practice day on Saturday March 6, 2004 for all divisions. Teams can practice from 9 am to 4pm in preparation for the season opener, "Spring Fling 200" on March 13, 2004. The "Spring Fling 200" will feature 200-laps for the Late Model Stocks, 100-laps for Limited Sportsman, 50-laps for the Rolling Thunder Modifieds and 30-laps for the Pure Stock division. The March 13 event will also feature double points for all divisions. The March 13 race day schedule will be released soon, "We are working on the schedule now. Due to the possibility of cooler temperatures in March, we are scheduling this event as a daytime race. Starting with our April 3rd event we will go to Saturday night shows with a 7:00 pm green flag," stated speedway General Manager Cathy Rice.

Season passes are still available for all of the speedway's 2004 events. Adult passes cost $175.00, and the youth passes sell for $99.00. Competitors can avoid the crowd on race day by purchasing a season pit pass for $275.00. Either for you or as a gift, these passes are a great way to save money and enjoy all the speedway has to offer this season.

Tickets are on sale now for the Spring Fling 200. Adult General Admission tickets are $8 in advance (up to 30 minutes prior to green flag) and $10 at the gate. Youth ages 10-15 pay only $5 and children nine and under are free. Fans can purchase advance tickets by calling the speedway toll-free at 1-877-440-1540 or logging onto www.tickets.com

The speedway has also announced that open practice will be held the first Thursday of every month starting in March and going through September. Fans are invited to come out to the grandstands and watch their favorite NASCAR Dodge Weekly Series drivers practice at no charge to them.

South Boston Speedway is also excited to announce our ride along program. With the participation of Try It Racing and Race Rides, 20 fans will win a session of racing school or reality racing. One person will be chosen from the grandstands each week to be the recipient of this prize.
