DICKERSON DOMINATES FOR FIRST BARKHOUSER LATE MODEL WIN

In the nightcap, Jason Dickerson (#19 Ruckersville, VA) started on the point and outpaced the field for his first Barkhouser Late Model victory. On the initial start, several cars sustained damage in a chain reaction crumpling, but Dickerson scooted away with no caution and worked to a half straightaway advantage before Owen Miller (#2 Emporia, VA) blew an engine for the first caution. NASCAR Division I point leader Peyton Sellers (#26 Danville, VA) tangled with hotshoe rookie Jonathan Cash (#7 Oxford, NC) battling in the Top 5 for the second caution. Lap traffic became a factor for the Top 10, as diversity driver Teri Williams (#02 Emporia, VA) washed up the track in turn three, collecting Top 5 point contender Scott Worley (#88 Long Island, VA) on lap 65. After a red flag period for clean-up, Dickerson again launched to a expanding lead over Wayne Ramsey (#51 Amherst, VA) and championship point contender Drew Herring (#3 Benson, NC). Herring slipped under Ramsey on lap 95, but Ramsey slammed the door. Herring took several laps to regroup before challenging for the runner-up spot with five laps to go. Herring rubbed, sliding under Ramsey, but was unable to make the pass. Dickerson took his first victory in commanding fashion, followed by Ramsey, Herring, Justin Johnson (#81 Roxboro, NC), and Brandon Butler (#29 Petersburg, VA).

BAILEY TAKES VICTORY IN LIMITED SPORTSMAN ACTION--

Bruce Anderson (#9-South Boston, VA) captured his first pole of the season for the Limited Sportsman Division; however, Jonathan Bailey (#89 Keysville, VA) put his Bailey's Chevrolet out front on lap two. Pacing the field for the remainder of the race, Bailey held off charges from Anderson. After cautions on lap 11 for a spin by Danny Willis Jr. (#23 Cluster Springs, VA)) and on lap 14 for Bill Moshenek (#27 Providence, NC), Anderson would experience engine trouble with only four laps remaining, while Justin Snow (#7 Danville, VA) took advantage to finish second. Tommy Peregoy (#2 Red Oak, VA) raced from the seventh starting spot for third, followed by Brian Cole (#10 Roxboro, NC) and Brian Pembleton (00 Amelia, VA). Bailey maintains his point lead in search of his second NASCAR Limited Sportsman Championship.

FALK TAKES LEGENDS VICTORY--

In a caution riddled, 25 lap event, C.E. Falk held off a hard, late lap charge by Cameron Patrick to take the Legends Series victory on Saturday Night. Kevin Yeatts finished third on the track.
