South Boston Speedway Roars Back into Action August 7
SOUTH BOSTON, VA. -- After a one-week hiatus, South Boston Speedway roars back into action this Saturday night with the "Miss Utility Night presented by NASCAR and USG". The night will feature 150-laps for the Pepsi Late Models, 50-laps for the Barkhouser Limited Sportsman, 30-laps for the Applebee's Pure Stocks, Grand Stocks and the Virginia Carolina Ford Focus Midgets presented by the Virginia Army National Guard and 25-laps for the INEX Legends and the Southern Vintage Modifieds.
Offering affordable family entertainment has always been the speedway's goal. This Saturday, August 7, is also billed as "Ladies Night". All ladies attending the race will be admitted for $5.
Pit gates will open Saturday at 1 p.m. and practice for all divisions will be held from 2:30 p.m. until 4 p.m. Grandstand gates will open at 5 p.m. Racing action gets the green at 7 p.m.
Adult admission for the race will be $8 up to 6:30 p.m. and $10 after that. Youth, ages 10-15, will be admitted for $5 and children under the age of 10 will be admitted free with a paid adult.
