DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (September 12, 2004) - The following is a glance at the NASCAR AutoZone Elite Division, Southwest Series Top 10 in the series championship standings heading into the Star Nursery.Com "150" presented by AutoZone at Tucson Raceway Park this Saturday, September 18. The race in Tucson, Arizona will be race eleven of 14 on the NASCAR AutoZone Southwest Series schedule:
No. 1 - Jim Pettit II (No. 03 California Hot Wood Ford), Jim Pettit Racing. Last week's ranking: 2nd. Pettit moved to the top of the standings for the fourth time this season after a dominating performance at CNS August 21 where he collected his series leading third victory of the season. Pettit finished 8th last season at Tucson.
No. 2 - Craig Raudman (No. 2 HPS/Victory Circle Chevrolet), Victory Circle Racing. Last week's ranking: 1st. Raudman finished 19th at TRP last season and three top five finishes over the years.
No. 3 - Burney Lamar (No. 1 Groeniger Chevrolet), Victory Circle Racing. Last week's ranking: 3rd. Lamar could only produce a 15th finish at CNS August 21 after five straight top five performances this season. Lamar maintains the third spot in the standings for the third consecutive race and heads to TRP where he finished 7th last season.
