* Eighth different winner -- Mike Duncan's (No. 9 Lucas Oil/Ron's Rear Ends Chevrolet) victory in the Relocate Here 200 presented by San Bernardino County at California Speedway marked his first win of the season and the seventh of his career in the NASCAR Grand National Division, AutoZone West Series. * New Budweiser Pole winner -- Auggie Vidovich (No. 57 Against Graffiti/Debeste Ford) won his first series Budweiser Pole Award with a qualifying lap of 172.232 mph at California Speedway. He became the seventh different driver to set the fast mark in 10 races this season.

* Debut of new engine program on West Coast -- This event marked the debut of the Grand National Division's "spec" engine in AutoZone West Series competition. Brett Thompson (No. 61 VaComTechnology/Thompson Motorsports Chevrolet) and Chris Bristol (No. 99 Sony HDTV Dodge) each had the new power plant under their hood. After qualifying 11th, Thompson led six laps and finished fifth. Bristol finished 11th, while making his series debut driving for car owner Ken Schrader.

* High marks -- Two drivers had career-best finishes at California Speedway. Nick Lynch (No. 29 Rockstar Energy Drink Dodge) was fourth. His previous best finish was 12th. Charles Price (No. 52 Stock All Services Chevrolet) came home 10th, to also record his first career top 10.

* Championship battle remains close -- The battle for this year's championship continues to be up for grabs. With his third-place finish, Eric Holmes (No. 62 Sunoco Race Fuels/Paul Oil Chevrolet) took over the top spot with a 27-point margin over Mike David (No. 2 Bennett Lane Winery Ford). Duncan's victory vaulted him to third in the championship standings, 65 points out of the first. * POWERade Power Move -- Jim Inglebright (No. 1 Jelly Belly Chevrolet) registered a season-best second-place finish at California Speedway and captured the POWERade Power Move of the Race Award. He charged forward from 18th on the grid to finish in the runner-up spot. At each Grand National Division event, POWERade presents the award to the driver who advances the most positions.

* Featherlite Most Improved -- Inglebright also won the Featherlite Most Improved Driver Award at California Speedway. He had finished 13th in the previous series event at Stockton.
