IRWINDALE, Calif. - Austin Cameron scored his third consecutive victory in the NASCAR Grand National Division, West Series with a win in the NAPA Auto Parts 150 at Irwindale Speedway on Saturday night.
Cameron, who appeared headed for a third-place finish late in the event, gained the top spot as Mike Duncan and Johnny Borneman came in contact and spun while battling for the lead on the 148th lap of the scheduled 150-lap event.
Cameron charged away on the restart, as the race went 157 laps for a green-white-checkered finish. Tim Woods III charged across the line for a career-best second-place finish, with series veteran Scott Gaylord finishing third.
With the win, Cameron narrowed Duncan's lead in the championship standings to just 15 points - 986 to 971.
