STOCKTON, Calif. -- Mike David held off several late-race challenges to win the NASCAR Grand National Division, AutoZone West Series Basalite 150 by Havoline before a packed house at Stockton 99 Speedway on Saturday.

David, who started fourth on the grid, charged into the lead on lap 61. Once out front, he faced some fierce challenges as some late-race cautions led to double-file restarts.

Austin Cameron, who had led the early stages of the event, was able to edge out front on lap 138 -- but David battled back for the top spot. Cameron faded with a tire going flat, leaving Johnny Borneman to mount the final charge at David.

David held on in a two-lap dash, as the race distance was extended to 155 laps for a green-white-checkered finish. It marked David's second victory in three years on the tight quarter-mile oval he considers his home track and his third career series win.

Borneman finished second - followed by Steve Portenga, Brett Thompson and Jim Inglebright.

NASCAR Grand National Division, AutoZone West Series Top 10 Driver Points: Mike David 481, Steve Portenga 466, Peyton Sellers 448, Jim Inglebright 439, Eric Holmes 433, Spencer Clark 423, Brett Thompson 412, Mike Duncan 410, Brian Ickler 371, Daryl Harr 369
