LUCAS GRABS NO. 4 PROVISIONAL POSITION IN HOUSTON

BAYTOWN, Texas. (March 30) -- Morgan Lucas Racing separated themselves from the rest of the pack with teammate Melanie Troxel taking the No. 2 provisional starting position and Morgan Lucas grabbing the No. 4 spot with his run of 4.538 seconds at a relative slow speed of 305.49 mph as compared to his earlier mile-per-hour of 317.27 mph, in the first session, after running an elapsed time of 4.631 seconds.

"It was running pretty hard early and then in the middle of the track it dropped a cylinder and we really don't understand why just yet, so we'll check on the computer to solve that situation," said a pleased Lucas. "It was a good run and we're happy. We have two more attempts tomorrow, if it doesn't rain, so we're pleased with our progression at Houston so far."

Those qualifying attempts are scheduled to run at 12 p.m. CDT followed by the last qualifying session at 3:30 pm.
