BELLE ROSE, La. - Coming off the heels of two straight divisional wins, NHRA Top Alcohol Dragster driver Lee Callaway will be shooting for No. 3 during this weekend's Division 4 Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series event at No Problem Raceway in Belle Rose, La.

After his win in Earlville, Iowa, last weekend, Callaway, from Baytown, Texas, moved into first place in Division 4 standings. Callaway cites that although being the points leader is a new experience for him, he knows from his experiences of not being there that everyone will be gunning for him.

"I know this weekend I will be a marked man," said Callaway. "The points race is still real close. Just because I am on top right now doesn't mean anything, it's who's on top at the end of the year. Nick Copeland and Shelly Howard are right behind me, and will more than likely jump back out in front if I slip up. Troy Buff can't be counted out at this point, either. I have to go to the finals if I am going to improve my points total, while Copeland, Howard and Buff all have first round losses they can improve on this weekend."

Callaway feels that one of the keys to his recent success has been preparation. Despite being on the road for the past two weeks, Callaway hopes to duplicate that recipe.

"With us having been on the road for the past two weeks, it would be real easy just to get the car ready for the race at the track and take it easy for a couple of days," stated Callaway. "But, I think that part of the reason why we have done better lately is that we have done a lot of preparation back at the shop before we ever leave. A lot of that has been Stacy McLemore. He hasn't been able to go to the track with me, but he has really been a tremendous help back at the shop. So we're back at home for a day or two, we've got the car apart replacing the parts that need to be replaced, and we'll leave Baytown with the car ready to fire up and race."

Qualifying begins on Friday for the alcohol cars, with two more sessions following on Saturday. Final eliminations will conclude the event on Sunday.
