BELLE ROSE, La. -- In the final results from the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series Cajun Challenge at No Problem Raceway, David Brounkowski and Lee Callaway pick up big wins to open the season.

Brounkowski of Cypress, Texas, saved his best pass of the day for the final round where he faced off against former division champion Spencer Massey of Fort Worth, Texas, in Top Alcohol Dragster. Brounkowski ran 5.473 seconds at 252.24 mph to Massey's 6.361-second pass. Brounkowski took out Chris Holley and Travis Nicholson on his way to the final.

Lee Callaway, who recently made the switch from a dragster to the Top Alcohol Funny Car class,

qualified No. 2 before running a 5.875 second pass at 245.05 mph in an unopposed final round when the No. 1 qualifier Steve Harker broke on the burn out and did not make a run. Callaway also ran his best pass of the day in his final round.

Three Louisiana racers picked up wins for the home state with defending division champion Craig Bourgeious of Metarie, La., outrunning Ernest Watson with a 7.114 seconds 182.77 mph pass. Jarrod Granier of Labadieville, La., and Matt Levatino, LaPlace, La., won in the Stock and Super Street classes respectively. Granier beat Mike Braswell and Levatino held off Carl Tauzin in their final rounds.
