Troy Is No. 15 After Day One
In the opening qualifying session Troy Coughlin and his Jeg's Mail Order Chevy Cavalier posted a run of 6.878 at 201.19 mph. He landed in the No. 10 qualifying position to start his weekend at Bristol Dragway
Troy went into the second qualifying session looking to improve over his opening run of the weekend. The set up was on the aggressive side and Troy was forced to shut off soon after launching from the starting line.
Troy Coughlin landed in the No. 15 qualifying position after running two of the four scheduled qualifying sessions.
"Making a good run right out of the trailer is important and really sets the tone for the weekend," said Coughlin. "We got a little carried away in the second session, but we found the line we don't want to cross for tomorrow."
There are two remaining qualifying session tomorrow (Saturday) before the field is set. The final two qualifying sessions are schedule for 10:30 AM and 3:00 PM (ET) respectively.
